Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently issued an urgent plea for the construction of more housing in the Austin Metropolitan Area. Tesla recently opened a new Gigafactory 11-miles east of Downtown Austin, and Musk anticipates hiring 10,000-plus employees by 2022.

Austin is undergoing rapid growth driven by an influx of jobs, companies, and people from all around the country. The city is quickly becoming one of the hottest housing markets in the U.S., and housing inventory can’t keep up.
